Father's Day
Yesterday was Father's Day here in Brazil. We had a good attendance, and we especially grateful for the presence of some unsaved men in our evening service. After the service we had a special "Cafe", which means coffee and a lot of sweets, to honor the fathers present.
I plan to visit one couple who has been visiting our services recently.

Jan's Race Against the Clock
Friday night we had an activity night for the dorm students, and the girls competed against the guys in a timed event. The object was to put on a jacket and hat in the shortest amount of time possible while keeping a baloon in the air. The kids were quite entertained with Jan's attempt. (I will not mention that I did it in something under 10 seconds!)

Easter
Our ladies brought breakfast for our church people Sunday morning. Brazilians love sweet breads for breakfast. Then the children's choir sang in the evening service. It was a great day, celebrating the central event of all history-the Resurrection of Christ!

Bible College Octet
Last night was the opening meeting of the Brazilian Fundamental Baptist Mission's 10th Anniversary Conference. It was held an hour away from Curitiba, so we loaded the bible college students in 4 vehicles and took them for the opening service. Our new men's octet provided special music for the service. Of the more than 20 missionaries who have joined the board in the last 10 years, only one is not one of our graduates. We are grateful for the opportunity to train young people for the harvest. We pray that some of our current students will also surrender to the call of world wide evangelism.
